My nomination: SprintPCS
I'm trying to order a new phone to replace the one which She Who Puts Up With Me lost in a parking lot a week ago (it's her third phone in six months, but that's a different issue). The SprintPCS website is about the slowest page I've had the misfortune to encounter. Each page on the site consists of over 500 separate elements, according to my Safari web browser (the checkout page, for example, has 519 elements). Since each element requires a certain amount of network overhead to load--even if it is only 10 bytes--the page takes literally two minutes to load. This is over a 1.1 Mbps DSL connection. OK, guys, if anyone from SprintPCS is listening, here's a Free Clue: If you want to make more money, you should make it easy for people to buy stuff from you. I am perpetually amazed that so many companies don't get this. Posted at 03:37 AM | Permalink | | | |
