That headline, and a whole article in yesterday's StarTribune on the subject, have been giving me the heeebie-jeebies lately.
No offense to anyone living in Illinois, but I spent three years living in Champaign, IL, and the climate was the worst thing about it. Too cold in the winter for stuff to grow, but too warm for any real snow (we usually got a couple inches at a time, and it would all melt within a week). Too hot in the summer for, well, anything. At least the headline didn't read: "Minnesota's topography is becoming as flat as Illinois" Let's face it, I love snow. Snow is the only thing which makes winter worthwhile. When I see in the news that they got 8 feet of snow in the Rockies, my reaction is always jealousy. I would like nothing better than to have to open a second-story window to get out of the house (what an adventure!). Here's the headline I wish we could have: "Minnesota's climate is becoming more like that of Buffalo, NY" Posted at 03:37 AM | Permalink | | | |
